INTERNATIONAL BOUNDARY MONITOR
Copyright - Daniel J. Dzurek
The International Boundary Monitor is a monthly digest
of international boundary and sovereignty developments. It is published
after the 15th of each month, which is the cutoff date for information
in that issue, and averages about 3,800 words in length. The Monitor
includes News Briefs of one or two paragraphs that report recent
events and often include a paragraph of commentary (similar to the Boundary
Bits). At the end of each Monitor is a longer analytic Focus
piece, which is about 900 words long. Recent Focus pieces include "India's Boundary Disputes with China, Nepal, and Pakistan" and "American Defense Commitments and Asian Island Disputes." For an example of the topics covered, see the Table of Contents from a recent issue.
Maps are integrated into the text. Abbreviated citations of sources are
included with each News Brief; more extensive footnotes accompany the Focus
articles. The Monitor is mailed via first class or air mail post to subscribers
at an annual cost of US $400. For an additional sum, the Monitor can be
faxed or e-mailed. Back issues (see Index) are
available for $40 per issue (To Order).
